Overview

PDK-EC resin bond diamond is dark green with medium toughness and friability. It is composed of multi-fine-crystalline grains with a mosaic structure that has irregular forms and a rough surface. The multi-fine-crystalline structure provides long-lasting, self-sharpening cutting edges: grains of the crystalline structure spontaneously rupture along themselves under a certain grinding force, leaving one or more sharp edges behind. This process keeps working until the whole grain is worn out.

PDK-EC brings wheel manufacturers high efficiency, long tool life and a perfect surface finish when processing various kinds of non-ferrous materials such as tungsten carbide, glass and ceramics.

PDK-EC is always recommended as a chemical nickel coated product in resin bond systems. The coating obviously enhances the mechanical retention between the diamond particles and the bond system, greatly improves heat dissipation, and brings longer tool life and excellent surface precision.

  • Standard nickel coating: 30% and 56%
  • PDK-EC uncoated diamond
  • PDK-EC diamond grains
  • PDK-EC nickel coated diamond
