SCD-BL Laser-Cut Single Crystal Diamond
SCD-B plates laser-cut to customer edges and angles, mainly for cutting tools and dressing tools.
Overview
Single crystal diamond (SCD) series are synthetic diamonds made by HPHT (high pressure high temperature) synthesis. To ensure size and stability of physical properties, longer growth times and more extreme conditions are required compared with saw grade synthetic diamond.
SCD series products are the best choice for high precision cutting tools processing nonferrous metals and non-metallic materials, high precision dressers for wheel dressing, wear parts and wire drawing dies.
The SCD-BL series, oriented on the crystallographic {100} plane, is based on the SCD-B series and cut into specific edges and angles by high precision laser cutting as per the customer's requirement. It is mainly used for cutting tools and dressing tools.
Very low impurity, good transparency and golden-yellow colour, laser cut with a majority of full right angles. Besides sizes similar to SCD-B, the sizes used for dressing tools are listed below.
